dc.description.abstractDuring January to June 2015, total 30 on site training and visits were organized for farmers and for proper monitoring purpose. Where participation of women has been observed 30 – 40% in meetings, training and several visits. Major themes for these training were improved agricultural practices in kharif and rabi crops. Soil health & fertility management, arid horticulture management practices & animal husbandry etc. The objectives of training which are following: 1. To disseminate improved technologies for productivity improvement in target clusters. 2. To increase capacity of local farmers for smooth implementation of project activities in terms of knowledge skill and attitude. 3. Improvement of farmers and villagers with the technology to apply technically and environmentally sound form forestry agro Horti system based practices with the aim of reducing and improving the quality of life. The trainings were provided in participatory mopde such as Group discussion, problem analysis & interacting lectures on: • Pre sowing soil health & management practices • In situ moisture conservation measures • Selection of improved varieties of crops viz law water requirement & short duration varieties • Use of Bio fertilizer inoculation for long term soil health management • Cultivation of legume crops in different crop rotation • Measures of multiple cropping system and green manuring • Methods of seed treatment by Rhizobium, PSB & azactobector inoculations • Use of organic liquid fertilizers & growth promoters for better crop production • Cultivation of medicinal plantsen_US
