Abstract
Through assessing capacity needs and defining a KM Baseline, the relevant gaps shall be determined and
through organizational learning and capacity building activities across the partners addressed. The tools
used for the CNA are derived from various sources while mainly depending on a document created by
ILRI, ICARDA and others based on a publication by FAO1. It serves a selection of useful CNA tools including
guides for preparation, timing and note taking as well as possible ways for interpretation and report
writing. Depending on the scope of time and the number of participants, a certain set of tools shall be
used.
