Abstract
ARC is one of the oldest research institutions in Africa and the Middle East (Established 1902). ARC emerged as a public institution (semi autonomous) in 1967 due to the significant up-scale in agricultural research under the umbrella of the Ministry of Agriculture (MOA). In 2001 ARC was attached to the Ministry of Science & Technology to amalgamate all research institutions in other ministries. However, ARC it is now reintegrated in the MoA.
