The public-private partnership (PPP) with the food industry and seed sector in Bangladesh, India, Myanmar and Vietnam promoted groundnut seed and commodity value chains resulting in economic benefits to the farmers and all the value chain actors, and health benefits for consumers. Seed business ventures (SBV) were successfully piloted in Myanmar and India to develop seed entrepreneurship among smallholder farmers, and the consortium approach enabled engagement with small- and medium- seed companies in Myanmar and India to enhance access to improved varieties of groundnut seeds for smallholder farmers.en_US
