dc.description.abstract108 pearl millet varieties were profiled for Fe content. High and varied estimates were got with 53% of the varieties recording Fe content values of 50 ppm and above considered as high to qualify release and 21% recording values of 60 ppm above considered to be the cutoff for nutrient dense pearl millet. The variety with the highest Fe content was ICMV 221, an improved variety promoted and produced in most of the countries in the region.en_US
