Abstract
The study reported in this book chapter was undertaken to evaluate technical performance of the mouldboard and Gavin ploughs against the traditional plough; to evaluate the impact of zero-tillage as against conventional methods; to evaluate the effect of the improved ploughs on soil infiltration and crop productivity; and to undertake a farmers’ evaluation on the system compatibility of the new implements.
