Certified seed production in Ethiopia and Iran

Abstract

In, Ethiopia barley certified seed production is limited and the project worked with farmer seed producer cooperatives or groups (see information on small seed pack distribution) for certified/quality seed production. In Iran, 1722 ha of barley planted by the formal seed sector with estimated production of 2583 t of certified seed which can cover 19,869 ha for barley grain production
