dc.description.abstractFarmer’s participatory seed production program was initiated during 2016-17 season, seeds of three promising genotypes of pigeonpea from target districts of Rajasthan viz; Pusa 992, ASJ 105, and ICPL 88039 were multiplied for sowing during 2016 cropping season under FPV. Breeder Seed for this purpose was provided by ICRISAT, while foundation seed was grown at Rajasthan Agricultural Research Institute, Durgapura for multiplication. Certified Seed production was undertaken in farmers’ fields in the districts of Jaipur, Bharatpur Ajmer,Karauli Dausa Tonk ,S. Madhopur and Dholpur. Experienced 10 farmers were selected from each district, as they were trained in various aspects of quality seed productionen_US
