Collaboration with several institutions in the industrialized countries of Europe and North America continued for basic research to improve the efficiency of our crop improvement efforts and develop a better understanding of the mechanisms of host-plant resistance to various biotic and abiotic stresses. The application of biotechnology in crop improvement was one of the important activities in this collaboration.
