Abstract
During the last decade, the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) with the collaboration with the National Agricultural Research Center (NARC) and support of the CactusNet facilitated the transfer of selected material from different locations for both fruit and fodder production to establish a cactus pear germplasm in Jordan. This work has resulted in the characterization and identification of most promising traits of the available cactus cultivars to specific local habitats. which will be promoted at farm level.
