Abstract
This AI-CD Knowledge and Policy Brief comprises three components, namely:
i. Types of projects in Sahel AI-CD countries
ii. Types of projects implemented within the scope of Africa-Japan cooperation
iii. Policy Brief
(i) and (ii) are collective initiatives undertaken by countries working with partner organizations in the Sahel region to combat desertification. This publication also provides practical guidance to policymakers, technical staff, and end-users of information on measures to combat land degradation and the Sahel desertification.(iii) The Policy Brief was developed based on experiences in implementing AI-CD in participating Sahelian countries, namely:
Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Chad, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal.
African countries can use this guideline to implement effective and efficient measures to combat desertification and thereby achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
