Abstract
Grain legumes play a crucial role in Ethiopian
agriculture, with a 12.4 % share of the total
land cultivated and 9.88% of the total grain
production. Faba bean is the most important
pulse crop, ranking first among all pulse crops
(CSA, 2014) in terms of area allocation (31%),
production (35%) and number of farmers
involved (52%).
