Abstract
This report answers the following key research question: Does adoption of improved cassava varieties have any significant causal effects on productivity and poverty? The results of this project showed that about 60% of the farmers growing cassava have adopted improved varieties. However, when adoption was measured using DNA-fingerprinting approach, it was found that about 66% of the farmers have adopted improved cassava varieties.
