dc.description.abstract | This map was prepared for Livestock and fish CRP project for Mapping breeds to appropriate production environments: a case study of Ethiopian indigenous sheep and goats. Yabello goat precipitation similarity in Ethiopia at 30 arc-second (about 1 km) resolution, similarity in precipitation patterns were calculated using a Visual Basic program (climatic similarity) developed in ICARDA. precipitation similarity index is a distance function for precipitation draw inspiration from the ‘Match Index’ concept developed in the CLIMEX software. The precipitation of both the breed distribution areas and areas outside was obtained from WorldClim 2.0 (Hijmans et al., 2005a). | en_US |
