Abstract
The Development of Sustainable Date Palm Production systems aims to use of proper agro-management techniques, and to develop proper post-harvest techniques to reduce losses and improve marketing.
Are presented here two new technology applied by the project on date palm field operations cultivation and post-harvest dates.
The liquid pollination, is a technologic package performing the extraction, drying and storage of pollen giving the highest pollen viability and germination and to facilitate pollination and maintain good level fruit set.
Drying dates using polycarbonate houses ameliorate the dates quality and reduce the loss especially in coastal zones.
The two technologies are transferred to farmers in GCC countries
