Geo- informatics presents great potential in the context of sustainable Agro-ecosystems development through mapping and monitoring. These include: crop types, corp associations, crop suitability, crop yield, cropping intensity, water productivity, land degradation, land potential etc. Adequate mapping and monitoring brings a better understanding of different patterns, which contribute to sustainable intensification and diversification.
