dc.description.abstractDescriptors for Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) is a revision of the original IBPGR, ICRISAT, and ICARDA publication Chickpea Descriptors (1985). Chickpea Descriptors was an update of ICRISAT's Chickpea Genetic Resources, Introduction of the Descriptors and Data Evaluation which was distributed as a pre-publication in 1979 on the occasion of the International Workshop on Chickpea Improvement held from 28 February to 2 March in Hyderabad, India. Chickpea Descriptors was revised jointly by IBPGR, ICRISAT, and ICARDA. Descriptor numbers from the earlier list are cross-referenced in the parentheses beside the descriptors in the present list.en_US
