In order to maximise the cooperative and community involvement in the activities of WP5, with the definition of local products that could be produced and promoted by the cooperative, a focus group with local women, members of the local community, was held on January 26, 2024. The specific purpose of the meeting was to collect and share the typical and historical recipes of this community, often passed down orally from mother to daughter or mother-in-law to daughter-in law, or written on small slips of paper tucked between the pages of a very heavy and jealously guarded cookbook. The specific goals were: a) to contribute to the cookbook for the mountainHER project, that takes into account the traditions and transmitted information; b) to go into further detail with the products that are to be developed within the project (especially as regards the category of “baked products”) c) since not all the recipes can be used in the MountainHER project, to gather material for a local “Rigoso recipes” book, deriving from the contributions of local women. This could also be useful for younger generations.
