In this activity we are assessing the mechanized raisedbed technology (MRB) in the Nile Delta as a farming system includes better water management, increase the farmer income, improve soil conditions, improve drainage water quality which is being reused several times in Nile delta, crop pattern (cereal-legume) and IPM options. We try to investigate the major contributor to the improved conditions. The hypotheses of these improvements attributes to several factors such as better seed distribution uniformity, better photosynthesis, optimum moisture content at the active root zone, reduced fertilizers leaching, no crop lodge and less disease and pests infections.en_US
