Abstract
This document contains the abstracts of presentations and workshop conclusions.
The workshop was a 'state-of-the-art' review of sustainability studies in dry-area production systems. with a particular emphasis on the contributory role. current and potential, of existing long-term trials, and a quest for new, more efficient methodologies. The broader aim was to formulate a new philosophy for cropping systems research in dry areas.
