USE OF APIs : DRUPAL Website and harvesting from MEL API

Abstract

A Drupal feeds module is now being used to import data from several web services. ICARDA uses the external services from MEL and UBW to import content to the ICARDA site using custom modules. The web services provided data for 6 content types namely, Job Vacancies, Experts, Publications, Projects, Donors and Offices. Some of the content types have an image field that needs to pass through an authentication. Example URL: ' https://apps.icarda.org/external/api/photo/***@cgiar.org/ '. also added in the web service credential are username and password to access the images. Once the images are accessible then we pass it to the feeds module to continue the import of the content.
