SmaRT-Ethiopia Program: Partners and actors landscaping report

Abstract

For the implementation of the Ethiopia priority country program on Small Ruminant Value Chain Transformation (SmaRT-Ethiopia), national partners play a key role in all research and development activities. The Theory of Change developed for the SmaRT program also requires direct involvement of or strong relationships with a very diverse set of actors along the small ruminant (SR) value chain. In the past, the SmaRT team sporadically reviewed partners and actors in the SR value chain but we did not go through a more formal exercise. The objective of the present landscaping report was to review and update our list of partners and actors, their roles and reflect on our relationships. Based on this review, we also aimed at developing a partnership engagement plan with concrete actions to be taken.
