In pursuing the objective to provide breeders with germplasm material characterised for important traits, 8000 entries of spring and winter habit barley from 45 countries were evaluated for descriptors which include quality parameters and morphological, physiological and other characters. The evaluation at the main ICARDA research station at Aleppo revealed wide genetic variability for most of the traits studied.en_US
