Akmal Akramkhanov. (1/12/2009). CACILM Directions of the Strategic Partnership and the Program’s Phase II. Beirut, Lebanon: International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA).
The Central Asian Countries Initiative on Land Management (CACILM) was conceived as a long‐term (2006‐2016) multi‐country multi‐partner program to counter land degradation and its causes in the countries of Central Asia. The Program’s initial phase (2006‐2009) will come to an end on 31 December 2009. Following that Phase’s evaluation in April 2009 and discussions that have taken place since then, it is considered necessary to take a fresh look at the direction and operating modalities of the Program to guide its activities during its second Phase (2010‐2014). The proposed direction is presented below. It is to be approved by CACILM partners at the CACILM 4th Steering Committee and Planning Meeting (SCPM)1 in Tashkent on 1‐2 December 2009 .
