Agricultural innovations are necessary to reduce poverty and hunger, increase incomes, improve health and wellbeing of people in low- and middle-income countries. To sustain the improvements in poverty, hunger, incomes, health and well beings, agricultural innovations need to be continuously developed, disseminated and used at scale i.e a pipeline of agricultural innovations need to be sustained. Recent evidence from the knowledge management literature shows that functioning knowledge management systems are necessary for sustaining such an innovation pipeline and knowledge management interventions have a big potential to contribute to agricultural innovations. However, there is no systematic evidence about how knowledge management interventions contribute to innovation pipelines in low- and middle-income countries.
