Oumaima Nahdi, Mohamed Karim Aounallah, Mounir Louhaichi. (26/2/2021). Identification et caractérisation des systèmes de production à base du Figuier de Barbarie dans la région du Cap-bon.
Master thesis about the identification and characterization of prickly pear-based production systems in the Cap-bon region. This study revealed the presence of five production systems namely: 100% cactus (53%), Cactus + Citrus (30%), Cactus + Olivier (9%), new orchards based on cacti (6%), Cactus + Vegetable gardens (2%) as well as two driving modes: driving over hedges (36%) and driving in Goblet (64%). Regarding agricultural techniques, the Scozzolatura technique is adopted for late production. The plots are irrigated: drip irrigation is the most used (53%). Submersion irrigation accounts for 47%. Farmers use organic and mineral fertilization. The results showed that the method of irrigation has a significant effect on the weight, volume, diameter, percentage of juice and acidity of the fruit. However, that it has no effect on the quality of cladode. Nitrogen fertilization has an effect on the fruit weight. The yield depends on the production system and the phosphate fertilization.
