Abstract
In this report, the Cereal Program work 1977/79 is reviewed and a brief account of the farming systems farmers' field trials in 1978/79 is also made. A full account of the farming systems studies is given in Research Report No.2. This report concentrated throughout on off-station field trials or experimental activities and concludes with a discussion of objectives, problems and limitations and how they might fit into an overall plan of field experimental research
