Vegetables play a vital role in ensuring healthy nutrition for population. Given the population growth in Uzbekistan, it is important to develop more productive technologies/approaches for vegetable cultivation. At the same time, to improve diets of local people, vegetable producers should try to achieve year-round supply of vegetables. Vegetable storage and conservation during cold winter season are equally crucial as they can fill the production gap and provide an opportunity for supply of vegetables to markets throughout a year. This paper reports the activities that were implemented by regional offices of ICARDA and World Vegetable Center for Central Asia and South Caucasus located in Tashkent, Uzbekistanen_US
