With the financial support from the Arab Fund for Socio Economic Development (AFSED), European Union (EU), The OPEC Fund International Development (OFID) and The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the course was conducted at ICARDA CDU facilities in Amman, Jordan. The course included classroom theoretical lectures, as well as practical field demonstration and exercises. The course was instructed in English. The participants were provided with handouts of the MS PowerPoint presentations to take notes directly related to the slides during the lectures. They also received recently produced training and extension manuals as hard copies and additional material on individual request. At the end of the course they received a USB drive containing all presentations, ICARDA’s recent publications on topics related to rangeland ecology and management as well as forage production and the list of participants with photos and addresses. A certificate of attendance was awarded at the end of the course to each participant. The trainers from ICARDA and ARI from USA were selected to cover all areas of expertise required in a comprehensive course on rangeland ecology and management.en_US
