dc.description.abstractThis new initiative was different in that it had a new and innovative objective to develop potato varieties that are heat and disease tolerant and produce tubers in a much shorter growing season than is currently possible. This will be of value in avoiding threats from extreme weather events and diseases affecting potato production in the region.en_US
