| dc.description.abstract | The objective of this brief is to summarize the major available findings in terms of wheat foresight in Africa, including the prospects for future genetic, agronomic, seeds and political economy under different climate change and socioeconomic scenarios. We first start with an outlook of historical and future trends of wheat areas, yields, and consumption by 2050, in selected SSA countries (Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, and Nigeria). We further provide insights of available research findings and perspectives in terms of genetics, agronomy, system diversification and seeds systems of wheat sectors in SSA. | en_US |
