Abstract
A total of eight diverse founder parents (ICP 5529, HPL 24, ICP 7035, ICP 8863, ICP 4486, ICP 11605, ICP 7426 and ICP 14209) were selected for the development of MAGIC population. Half di-allele crossing approach (28, two-way F1s) followed by funnel based mating design (14, four-way and 7, eight-way F1s) will be utilized for development of MAGIC lines. The hybridity of F1s will be checked in each generation using identified polymorphic SSR/Indel markers between parental lines
