Abstract
This paper summarizes the performance of some QTLs for partial resistance to barley leaf rust under natural epidemic development in the south eastern highlands of Ethiopia. The paper also reviews types of resistance against the pathogen, their mechanisms, durability and the polygenic nature of partial resistance.
