Abstract

High yielding, yellow rust resistant winter wheat varieties are continuously becoming available in the CAC region through international collaboration through international collaboration. Salinity tolerant improved varieties of winter wheat are being identified and accelerated release of new winter wheat and food legumes varieties needs to be prioritized in the system National capacity is being continuously strengthened that could g yp reatly help in national efforts in varietal development and out-scaling.
