Using the example of Morocco, this short film explains the importance of enhancing farmers’ knowledge on pollinators. A lot of farmers do not know if their crops are pollinator dependent, which insects are important pollinators, and what kind of habitats they require. Morocco hosts a great diversity of wild pollinators, including wild bees, wasps, flies, and butterflies, but farmers do not recognize them. Farmers do not see the nesting sites in their fields and often destroy them unwillingly. It is a precondition for pollinator protection to show farmers their diversity of pollinators, habitat requirements, value, and how farmers can take action and benefit from pollinator conservation in their fields.en_US
