Abstract
The literature reviewed here is global in its focus to attend to broad trends in the field and practice of agricultural extension. We do not aim for an extensive literature review but to identify implications for not including gender, ways to do so, and means to move forward. Our aim is to highlight the importance of gender integration into agricultural extension programs in various parts of the world in order to raise much needed awareness on the subject.
