Variety, Technology and Seed System Development for Pulses in Odisha Technical Report 2018-2019

Abstract

The project Variety, Technology and Seed System Development for Pulses in Odisha presents its progress for one year since August 2018. The activities included planning of release of improved pulses varieties and production of advanced breeding lines, breeding pipeline activities including germplasm screening, varietal evaluation trial, and breeding experiment, technology demonstration on farmers` fields and farmer participatory varietal selection, enhancing seed systems and village seed hubs, custom hiring centers, capacity development of technical personnel and integration of farmer groups, and exposure visits. Overall progress and yield levels under demonstration setups, including details on the review and planning workshop form part of the concluding section.
