Abstract
In the mountain communities of the six countries involved in MountainHer project, there is a
noticeable pattern: many men are moving to cities, leaving behind a growing number of women in
charge of agriculture, both in the fields and in management. However, these women often face
challenges when it comes to participating in decision-making and governance processes, hindering
their success in agriculture, despite the crucial role that rural female cooperatives play in social and
economic prosperity
