This IAHS series puts together old classic papers to provide an overview of how our knowledge of the hydrological sciences has developed; and creates an accessible repository of information for education, research, and practice. The first title in the series focused on the theme of Streamflow Generation Processes. This second, the subject of this review, focuses on Evaporation.
