Abstract
Application of permanent skip furrow irrigation (i.e., always apply irrigation water in every alternate furrow) can reduces amount of irrigation water and the salt accumulation on top of the permanent raised beds in salt affected irrigated drylands. This water application technique also facilitated efficient salt leaching from permanent raised beds and helps to minimize secondary soil salinization.
